Jacksoul's
Haydain Neale dies at 39
Haydain Neale is being remembered by his friends and colleagues today
for his musical integrity and positive energy. The news of his
death
has come as a shock
to fans and colleagues, most of whom had only heard that he was
recovering from a serious injury he had sustained while driving his Vespa
scooter in 2007. Privately battling Cancer for the
past seven months, Neale's
condition was only known to his family and close friends.
Neale was set to release SOULmate on December 1st, his first album with Jacksoul since
the accident. The album is still planned to
be released on the same date with all of its proceeds going to the
Haydain Neale Family Trust.
Neale, who lived in Hamilton has released four albums with the band,
Jacksoul. The album Sleepless
winning the Juno for the year's top R&B recording.
The single, Can't
Stop, is Jacksoul's best known song, dominating radio throughout the summer of 2000.
SOULmate's first single, Lonesome
Highway is already being played on radio stations in the
Toronto area.
